Every aspect of a person’s past and present life affects his or her art from when they grew up, their friends, their family, their religion, their political views, educational background, technology, to world events, just to name a few. Art, in my opinion, allows the artist to share his or her own values, background, judgments, and, most importantly, to send a message to the viewer. I believe art is the expression of one’s own distinctive identity.
“To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.”-Anthony Robbins
